Christian Contreras is an attorney, activist and community advocate. Christian is the principal and managing attorney of the Law Offices of Christian Contreras, PLC which is a multi-attorney firm. Christian has a robust law practice in the areas of civil rights, personal injury, trials and some criminal defense. Christian litigates a broad range of cases primarily focused on wrongful death cases and civil rights cases affecting constitutional rights. On average, Christian tries at least seven (7) jury trials per year. Christian also has an active appellate practice and has successfully prevailed at the Ninth Circuit of Appeals and California Court of Appeals.
Christian has been recognized as an expert in civil rights and is regularly featured in prominent news outlets to contribute on various legal topics. In 2024, the Daily Journal recognized the Law Offices of Christian Contreras, PLC as a top boutique in the State of California. Christian also is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (“ABOTA”)
Christian currently serves on the board of directors for the following non-profit organizations: Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities, East Los Angeles College Foundation, National Police Accountability Project, and Peoples College of Law. Contreras also serves as the legal advisor for the League of United Latin American Citizens.
Christian has taught or teaches law and civil rights at various educational institutional including the law school, Peoples College of Law.
