Wilmington, California (August 10, 2026) - One person was hospitalized after a police chase ended in a two-car crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Wilmington on Sunday night, according to police.

Officers tried to stop the driver of a stolen 2014 Hyundai sedan on the 300 block of Pacific Coast Highway around 8:33 p.m. The pursuit lasted about a minute before the fleeing car crashed into a Chevy SUV near Fries Avenue.

Footage of the crash showed both vehicles suffered major front-end damage. Police closed the intersection of PCH and Fries Avenue to investigate.
