Willowbrook, CA - 2 Trapped After Sedan Slams Into Big Rig Overnight

Willowbrook, CA (September 22, 2026) - Two people were rushed to the hospital after their car became wedged beneath a big rig overnight in the Willowbrook area of unincorporated Los Angeles County, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The crash happened just before 1 a.m. near San Pedro Street and El Segundo Boulevard on September 22, 2026.

Video from the scene showed a white sedan lodged almost completely beneath the trailer of an 18-wheeler after crashing into it from the side.

Fire crews worked to free the two people trapped inside the sedan. Both were taken to a local hospital in unknown condition, though they appeared to have suffered serious injuries.

It was not immediately clear whether the truck driver was hurt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
