Whittier, CA - 10 Hospitalized, Three in Critical Condition After Rollover Crash

Whittier, CA (August 23, 2026) - Ten people were hospitalized, three of them in critical condition, after a two-car rollover crash in Whittier Sunday night, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

It happened around 9:10 p.m. near the intersection of Telegraph Road and Biella Way. LACoFD said crews were dispatched for a two-car collision that left one vehicle on its side near a nearby building, with the second vehicle overturned onto its roof in the middle of the street.

Crews arriving on scene found 10 people needing medical attention. All were taken to nearby hospitals in varying condition. As of 11 p.m., LA County Fire said three victims were in critical condition, four had minor injuries, and three others had injuries of an unknown severity.

The intersection was closed for nearly an hour while authorities investigated the cause of the crash and cleared debris from the road.
