This is a developing story. Details may change as the investigation continues.
A driver who flees after hitting someone on foot leaves a family with no answers and a case that only gets harder to prove with time. What happens in the next few weeks often decides whether the person responsible is ever identified.
Even when the driver who caused a fatal crash hasn't been identified, the victim's family isn't without options.
Wrongful death claims in California generally must be filed within two years of the date of death (CCP 377.60). For this crash, that deadline is July 11, 2028.
Losing someone to a driver who never stopped to help leaves a family carrying grief and unanswered questions at the same time. Nobody should have to sort through both alone.
Our Los Angeles wrongful death lawyers have recovered more than $200 million for injured clients and their families, and we take cases to trial when insurers won't offer a fair resolution.
Surveillance footage from businesses along Sepulveda Boulevard gets overwritten within days in many cases, so the window to preserve it is short.
We work on contingency. There's no upfront cost, and we don't get paid unless we win your case.
