Los Angeles, CA (August 21, 2026) - A 57-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian crash Friday night in the Central-Alameda neighborhood of South Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Authorities say a Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling through the intersection of Duarte and 55th streets at about 8:35 p.m. when it struck a pedestrian, later identified as Aubrey Player.

Player was pronounced deceased at the scene.
