The collision was reported at approximately 12:40 p.m. in the northbound Express Lanes beneath the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene and conducted the investigation.
Officials stated that the pedestrian was found lying in the Express Lanes and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was later identified as Johnny Ansdell, age 41, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. Additional details, including his city of residence, were not released.
