The crash occurred just after 5:00 a.m. near the intersection of West Slauson Avenue and Normandie Avenue. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and assisted with rescue efforts.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second individual involved in the crash was transported to a nearby hospital, where they were reported to be in critical condition.
