Simi Valley, CA - Elderly Woman Killed After Tesla Strikes Her Outside Restaurant

Simi Valley, California (June 29, 2026) - An elderly woman died after being struck by a white Tesla outside an Urbane Cafe restaurant near Tierra Rejada Road and Madera Road on Monday afternoon. According to Simi Valley Police, the crash was reported at approximately 2:30 p.m. The victim was found trapped beneath the vehicle after the impact sent the car into the restaurant's outdoor seating area. She died at the scene.

Four juveniles inside the Tesla were also evaluated, with one transported to a hospital for minor injuries. The driver, also an elderly woman, was taken to a hospital with minor injuries to her wrist and arm. Police say the crash appears accidental, and the cause remains under investigation.
