Santa Clarita, CA - Christina Burbano Jeffrey, 50, Killed in Four-Vehicle Crash on Soledad Canyon Road

Santa Clarita, CA (September 8, 2026) - A four-vehicle crash at Soledad Canyon Road and Rainbow Glen Drive in the Canyon Country area of Santa Clarita left one woman dead and sent several other people to the hospital, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The collision was reported at about 12:16 p.m.

Los Angeles County firefighters and deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station responded to the intersection. One person was trapped inside a vehicle after the crash, and rescuers transported multiple patients to area hospitals. Their conditions were not immediately available.

The woman who died was alone in her vehicle, according to sheriff's Lt. John Griffith. She has since been identified as Christina Burbano Jeffrey, 50, of Canyon Country. Investigators said a white Honda CR-V had been traveling on Soledad Canyon Road before moving east onto Rainbow Glen Drive on the afternoon of September 8. Officials have not described the paths of the other three vehicles or said which impact caused the fatal injuries.

No agency has announced an arrest or said that alcohol, drugs, or speed played a role. Deputies closed Soledad Canyon Road in both directions between Rainbow Glen Drive and Langside Avenue for several hours while crews cleared the scene and investigators worked to establish how the four vehicles came together.
