Pomona, CA - Driver Trapped in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Westbound I-10 at Towne Avenue

Pomona, CA (August 25, 2026) - A multi-vehicle crash on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway in Pomona, just west of North Towne Avenue, left one person trapped inside a car.

At least three or four vehicles were involved in the crash around 9:35 a.m. on August 25, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch log.

The drivers of a silver Ford Focus sedan, a red Ford Transit van, an orange Dodge cargo van, and possibly a white pickup truck were involved.

The Ford sedan and a van described in the report as an All-Star Plumbing van reportedly crashed in the HOV and fast lane of the freeway.

Other vehicles came to rest in the center divide or pulled over to the right shoulder, the report said.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to help those involved, including one person who was trapped in the Ford Focus sedan.

Several lanes of the westbound I-10 were blocked because of the crash, and vehicles were towed from the scene.

No information on injuries has been released. The cause of the crash and liability have not yet been determined, and the investigation is ongoing.
