Two people died and two were critically hurt in a three-vehicle crash on 30th Street West in Palmdale on Oct. 4, the CHP reported.

Palmdale, CA (October 4, 2026) - At about 7:46 p.m. Sunday, the California Highway Patrol responded to a three-vehicle crash on 30th Street West between Avenue N and Avenue N-4 in Palmdale that left two people dead and two others critically injured.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP stated. Two others were taken by ambulance to Antelope Valley Medical Center in Lancaster, where a news videographer reported they were in critical condition.
Video from the scene showed a white sedan and a silver sedan with mangled front ends. A third vehicle was overturned. The CHP requested a hard closure of 30th Street West from Avenue N to Avenue N-4 while investigators worked the scene.
The identities of those killed and injured have not been released. The circumstances that led to the crash have not been disclosed, and the investigation is ongoing.
This is a developing story. Details may change as the investigation continues.
The CHP has not released the cause of this crash. What investigators learn from the vehicle positions, damage patterns, electronic data, and any available camera footage will determine who bears responsibility.
If fault is shared among drivers, California's pure comparative fault rule allows each injured person or family to recover damages reduced only by their own percentage of responsibility.
