Nine people were injured, two critically, in a multi-vehicle crash near Reseda Boulevard and Lassen Street in Northridge on October 25, LAFD said.

Northridge, CA (October 25, 2026) - At around 10:10 a.m. on October 25, a multi-vehicle crash left nine people injured, the Los Angeles Fire Department said. It happened in the 9900 block of North Reseda Boulevard, near Lassen Street.
Arriving firefighters found two people trapped inside the wreckage. Both occupants were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, LAFD said.
Three other people were taken to hospitals in unknown condition, and four people refused transport. Video posted to the Citizen app showed as many as five cars involved in the crash.
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash. Officials had not said what led to the collision.
This is a developing story. Details may change as the investigation continues.
The California Office of Traffic Safety reported 4,061 traffic deaths statewide in 2023. Since January 1, 2025, drivers must carry at least $30,000 in injury coverage per person and $60,000 per crash for two or more people.
Possibly more than one driver, and sometimes a vehicle owner or employer. The cause of this crash has not been announced, so fault is still open.
Yes. One policy limit may be divided among everyone hurt, so your own underinsured motorist coverage can matter.
You can still recover. California uses pure comparative fault, so your recovery is reduced by your share of fault, never barred.
Two years from the crash. For this crash, that deadline is October 25, 2028 (Code of Civil Procedure 335.1).
Get checked by a doctor, even without pain, and ask LAPD for the crash report number. Photograph the vehicles, and keep your medical records and bills.
