North Hills, Los Angeles - Car Slams Into Pedestrians During Street Takeover, Driver Flees

North Hills, Los Angeles (July 26, 2026) - A black sedan slammed into two pedestrians during a street takeover event in the North Hills neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley on Sunday evening, then fled the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Paramedics responded to the intersection of Plummer Street and Haskell Avenue at 5:55 p.m. on July 26, 2026, the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed. Video of the crash shows the car striking the pedestrians, knocking one of them unconscious. The other victim suffered a severely broken leg. Both were hospitalized.

LAPD told KTLA the driver fled the scene and has not been identified. Police said one of the two victims suffered severe injuries, but have not released further details.
