Koreatown, CA - One Driver Killed, Second Arrested on Suspicion of DUI After Two-Car Crash

Koreatown, CA (August 28, 2026) - A two-car collision reported at about 12:30 a.m. on August 28 near Eighth Street and Ardmore Avenue killed one driver, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

One driver died at the scene. The other driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, according to the LAPD.

Investigators said one driver was southbound on Ardmore Avenue and collided with a vehicle heading west on Eighth Street. Several parked cars were damaged in the crash.
