Irwindale, CA - Dump Truck Slams Into Multiple Vehicles, Killing One Driver

Irwindale, CA (September 18, 2026) - A multi-vehicle crash involving a dump truck left one driver dead and at least two other people hospitalized Friday, according to Irwindale police.

Los Angeles County fire crews arrived at East Arrow Highway and Avenida Barbosa at about 11:49 a.m. and found four vehicles involved in the crash, including the dump truck.

One of the vehicles was crushed and caught fire, and occupants had to be extricated, according to first responders. Despite life-saving efforts, one driver was pronounced dead at the scene, Irwindale police told reporters.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation Friday afternoon.
