Glendale, CA - Man in His 60s Killed in Hit-and-Run on Colorado Street

Glendale, CA (September 9, 2026) - A man in his 60s died after a hit-and-run driver struck him in the 1400 block of East Colorado Street, the Glendale Police Department said.

Officers responded around 10 p.m. Wednesday and found the victim with life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Detectives with the department's Traffic Bureau and Robbery-Homicide Unit used witness descriptions, video footage, and an ALPR-timestamped photograph to identify a suspect vehicle and its registered owner. That led them to 36-year-old Justin Ramirez of Los Angeles. Officers located Ramirez at his place of employment in the 1200 block of East Colorado Street shortly after 1 a.m. on September 10 and arrested him. He was booked on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
