Motorcycle Accidents in Gardena, California

Police have not said what caused this crash. Crashes at intersections often turn on right of way, speed, and whether the driver saw the motorcycle.

  • Two people were injured: The rider and the passenger may each have a separate claim.
  • Who may be liable: The pickup driver, the driver's employer if the truck was being used for work, or another party, depending on what the investigation finds.
  • What investigators examine: Signal timing, point of impact, speed, sight lines, and any available video from nearby businesses.
  • Preserve evidence: Keep the motorcycle and the rider's gear unrepaired and unwashed, and save all medical records.
  • Insurance companies: Do not give a recorded statement to the pickup driver's insurer before speaking with an attorney.
  • Fault: California follows pure comparative fault. A rider can still recover if found partly responsible, though the award is reduced by that share.

The crash happened on September 28, 2026. Personal injury claims in California must generally be filed within two years (CCP § 335.1), which puts the deadline at September 28, 2028.
