A 22-year-old man was among two people injured when a hit-and-run driver struck several parked cars in Boyle Heights on September 26, 2026, police said.

Boyle Heights, CA (September 26, 2026) - Two people, including a 22-year-old man, were injured Saturday evening when a driver plowed into a row of parked cars and left the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The crash happened around 5:40 p.m. in the 600 block of Forest Avenue, near Folsom Street and a few blocks north of Evergreen Cemetery, LAPD Officer Miller said.
A silver Dodge struck roughly four parked vehicles along the block. At least one of the two people hurt was taken to a hospital with severe injuries, police said.
The driver didn't stop. As of about 7 p.m. Saturday, no one had been arrested, and police were still searching for the vehicle and the person behind the wheel.
This is a developing story. Details may change as the investigation continues.
A driver fleeing the scene doesn't erase a victim's right to be compensated. It just changes what the case has to prove first: who was behind the wheel.
Under California law, personal injury claims must generally be filed within two years of the crash. For this collision, that deadline falls on September 26, 2028 (CCP 335.1).
Getting hurt by someone who never stopped leaves people with more questions than answers, on top of the pain and the bills that are already piling up.
Our Los Angeles personal injury lawyers have spent years tracking down drivers who thought a crash like this would go unanswered, and have recovered more than $200 million for injured clients in the process.
Surveillance footage from the homes and businesses along Forest Avenue gets overwritten within days in a lot of cases, so the sooner it's pulled and preserved, the better the odds of identifying who did this.
