Anaheim, CA - Two Killed, Two Injured After Car Goes Off 5 Freeway Near Lincoln Avenue

Anaheim, California (September 3, 2026) - Two people were killed and two others were injured in a crash on the southbound 5 Freeway in Anaheim, forcing the closure of lanes near the Lincoln Avenue off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported around 3:15 a.m. this morning at the Lincoln Avenue off-ramp. Only one vehicle appeared to be involved.

Two people were thrown from the vehicle and killed. The other two occupants were taken to the hospital by the Metro Cities Fire Authority in unknown condition.

A CHP log stated that a witness reported the vehicle may have missed the off-ramp exit and gone over the side of the freeway into a grassy embankment area. Details surrounding the circumstances leading up to the crash remain limited.
